ABC's inter-webby thingy

How wonderful. In a nation which prides itself on free speech, the clip referred to in this post has been removed from youtube.

Late last year the ABC made huge changes to it's "NEW" website. The NEW site had only been in operation for a relatively short while and was much maligned by staff and the public. But we were all reassured that it was the latest and greatest in innovative, creative development and would be a site which lead the way into this century...

That turned out not the be the case.

The colours were gaudy, the content was hard to find and generally the site was an eyesore!

For users in country areas the site often failed to even work because of so much active content - their internet speeds simply didn't allow it to work.

Aunty sent her geeks back to the drawing board, and with some help from other geeks outside the ABC fortress, a NEW NEW site was developed and launched in January.
